The slowest keystroke we measured, searching 285,000 files on a real Mac. Omnibar keeps its own index in memory instead of asking Spotlight, so results change as fast as you type.
Built for the way you work
Everything below is in the app today and included in the one-time price.
Use the AI you already pay for
Omnibar answers with your own ChatGPT or Claude plan, through the official Codex and Claude Code tools on your Mac, or with your own OpenRouter key and any model it offers. No credits and no second subscription.
ChatGPTAny paid plan, through Codex
ClaudePro or Max, through Claude Code
OpenRouterYour own key, kept in your KeychainAI in other launchers
Sold as monthly credits on top of the launcher. Using your own subscription still needs their paid plan.
AI in Omnibar
Chat, rewrite selected text in any app, summarize a PDF, or ask about any file, as often as your own plan allows.

Claude plan
OpenRouter keyNo account
Download it and use it. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to.
Your files stay put
The index lives on your Mac. Searches, file names and clipboard contents are never sent anywhere.
Keys in your Keychain
Your OpenRouter key is stored in the macOS Keychain and sent only to OpenRouter. Omnibar never sees your ChatGPT or Claude login.
Make your Mac faster to use
Apps, files, clipboard, snippets, windows, math and AI, all from the same bar, in the time it takes to type a few letters.

Frequently Asked Questions
What people ask before they switch to Omnibar.
Does it replace Spotlight?
It can. Omnibar opens with Option and Space by default and leaves Command and Space to Spotlight, so you can try both. Change the shortcut to Command and Space in settings when you are ready.
How does it use my ChatGPT or Claude plan?
It runs the official Codex or Claude Code tool already signed in on your Mac, the same way you would from a terminal. Omnibar never reads, stores or sends your login. You can also use your own OpenRouter key instead.
Do I need an AI plan at all?
No. Search, the clipboard, snippets, window management and everything else work without one. AI features appear once a plan or key is connected.
Does it start when my Mac starts?
Yes, by default. You can turn that off in settings.
Which permissions does it ask for?
None at launch. A feature that needs one, such as Accessibility for window management or AI on selected text, asks the first time you use it and says why.
Can I bring my Raycast or Alfred setup?
Yes. Export your snippets and quicklinks from either app, and Omnibar shows what it will import, what already exists, and anything it cannot convert, before changing anything.
What happens after a year?
The app keeps working exactly as it is. Renew for $15 to keep getting updates, or do not. Lifetime and All Access include updates for as long as they last.
Which Macs are supported?
Any Mac running macOS Sonoma 14 or later.
